You’ll find Crystal Massage in The Shops at Tallgrass, on the north side of E 21st Street, about a fifth of a mile east of Rock Road. The lot out front belongs to the plaza, it’s free, and Suite 311 opens straight onto it — so there’s no garage to hunt for and no ticket to carry in.

01 — Which corner

The corner people get wrong.

Four corners meet at 21st Street and Rock Road, and two of them hold shopping centres with nearly the same name. We’re in one of them, not the other.

North side of 21st, east of Rock. Get those two right and you’re there. The centre you want is The Shops at Tallgrass at 8336–8340 E 21st St N, and Suite 311 sits back from the road with the plaza lot between it and the traffic.

The centre on the south-west corner, the one with Best Buy and Dick’s in it, is a different property with a confusingly similar name. Bradley Fair is the other landmark people steer by, and that one is across 21st on the south side. If a satnav drops you at either, you’re on the wrong side of a road.

Yelp spells the centre’s name a third way, which helps nobody at all. Go by the street number on the glass instead: 8338 E 21st St, Suite #311.

02 — The lot

Parking is free, and it’s right there.

The Shops at Tallgrass surface lot is one level and open to the sky, and you turn straight into it off the street. There’s no deck to spiral up and no gate arm to wait at, and nobody takes money at either end.

  1. Turn in off 21st

    The entrance is on the north side of E 21st Street, a little east of Rock Road. One turn off the street and you're in the lot.

  2. Park in front

    The lot wraps the front of the centre, and accessible bays sit beside the door. It's the whole plaza's lot, not ours alone, so how busy it is depends on the hour.

  3. Walk to 311

    Suite 311 opens straight onto the lot, so the walk from the car is short. There's nothing to pay at either end of it.

Nothing to validate There’s no garage at this address, so no ticket comes in with the car and none goes back out with you.

  1. From the lot, read the suite numbers on the glass, not the shop names. The units run in a row and 311 is one of them.

  2. The sign over the door reads Crystal Massage. If you can't make out the suite numbers from the car, the storefront photo on this page is the quicker check.

  3. Inside, the front desk is the first thing you meet, and whoever's at the counter takes it from there.

  4. Come a few minutes early if you can. Nothing says you have to, but it's the difference between starting a session and catching your breath halfway through one.
